Kerlink, a specialist in solutions dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced Catherine Failliet’s appointment to its board of directors. Failliet brings more than 25 years of senior executive experience in business development and project management in water and energy systems and smart-city programs to Kerlink’s board.
Failliet is deputy general manager for business development at Groupe CLAIRE, a manufacturer and provider of equipment for potable-water networks. Previously, she served for more than four years as general manager of LACROIX Sofrel, a leading provider of measurement and control solutions for water-supply networks. Prior to that, Failliet served as vice president of business integration and development at EDF Group’s Continental Europe Division.
The CLAIRE Group is an industrial company specializing in the design, manufacture, and sale of equipment for water and gas distribution networks, including domestic connections and back-up systems. The group is developing a new division dedicated to intelligent solutions for remote measurement and control, thus reducing the environmental impact of water networks. In this context, Failliet supervises the development of the offers and the commercial structuring, as well as the international development of the company.
During her term as managing director at LACROIX Sofrel, a supplier of complete water-and-heating network control systems, the company recorded more than 20 percent growth in sales and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT). Failliet has also initiated the setting up of a lab to integrate IoT technologies into the offer of LACROIX Sofrel and the group.
EDF is a major producer of electricity and a global leader in low-carbon energy covering every sector of the delivery supply chain, from generation to trading and transmission grids. At EDF, Failliet managed commercial aspects of acquisition projects in Belgium, Germany, and Poland, as well as smart city and smart grid projects in Belgium and Austria. Earlier in her career in EDF’s trade department, she served as business strategy project manager and European project manager for a B2C energy-efficiency project.
“Kerlink is pleased to welcome Catherine Failliet to its board of directors,” said William Gouesbet, Kerlink CEO. “Her expertise and professional achievements are very complementary to our board, and her experience will enrich the board’s discussions, especially considering strategic thinking, market-access strategy, and international development of LoRaWAN® IoT networks. I would like to thank our shareholders on behalf of our board for approving Ms. Failliet’s appointment to our board.”
Failliet, who is a strong supporter of diversity in the workforce, said: “Kerlink is a prime example of the technological vision and entrepreneurial flexibility that are required to build and deploy the new technologies that will help take society toward efficient, smart-and-sustainable projects for the coming era. I am excited to join the board, whose members have deep expertise in strategy, technology, and new markets, and help chart Kerlink’s path forward.”
