Heilind Electronics, a premier distributor of electronic components worldwide, has partnered with TE Connectivity (TE) to bring its customers an extensive range of harsh environment pressure and liquid level sensors. The new products are part of TE’s American Sensor Technologies (AST) brand, which complements the distributor’s existing TE Measurement Specialties solutions.
A key part of Heilind’s new AST offering is hazardous location pressure transducers. These items are certified to CSA, UL, ATEX and other standards that qualify them as explosion proof, intrinsically safe or non-incendive. In addition, customers can request customized designs and configure options like process connections, materials, pressure ranges and output.
Accommodating pressure ranges from vacuum to 20,000 PSI, AST sensors feature high-strength construction without the use of oil, welds or internal O-rings. The sensors are used to monitor pressure, differential pressure and liquid level in low-to-medium volume OEM applications like compressed natural gas (CNG) stations, onshore/offshore drilling equipment and telemetry equipment.
“We are pleased to add AST to our TE Connectivity sensor portfolio,” said Alan Clapp, Vice President, Heilind Electronics. “AST is recognized as an industry leader, with custom-engineered pressure sensors designed specifically for harsh and hazardous environments. Therefore, we can offer customers a virtually unlimited number of configurations for applications where such performance is required — including the oil and gas marketplace.”
