Overview:
Semiconductors are an essential component of electronic devices, enabling advances in countless applications such as computing, household appliances, communication devices, transportation systems, etc. However, manufacturing semiconductors of nanometer dimensions is incredibly challenging as it requires months of manufacturing time in an ultra-clean environment before the final product is ready for use.
Highest-quality semiconductors depend on extreme measurement accuracy during their fabrication. This includes incoming materials (resists and other chemicals, wafers, etc.) where even a slight defect or deviation from the precise formula will likely cause major quality escapes that render a batch of wafers inefficient in performance or completely useless. Continued advancements in chip design and manufacturing technologies lead to even more complex designs in smaller form factors. This further increases the criticality of every step to achieve success.
A critical factor affecting many of these steps is extreme weighing accuracy. But how is this high accuracy achieved and what factors affect it? In this webinar, we discuss how manufacturers are using smart automation weighing components that improve productivity while ensuring the exacting quality standards of the semiconductor industry. Additionally, through a modern automation network, you benefit from improved speed, exact data, condition monitoring and status alarms that indicate potential problems in real time.
What you’ll learn:
- How smart automation components improve productivity in semiconductor manufacturing
- Discover how improved speed, exact data, condition monitoring and status alarms can indicate potential problems in real time
- Explore how advanced automation technology reduces material waste
