Presto Engineering, a European expert in application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design, engineering and production services, announced that it has successfully passed ISO27001 certification, which is the global standard for an effective information security management system. It establishes the highest standard framework to protect a company’s data and specifies how to interact with third party organizations in a secure manner across business processes.

By reaching ISO27001 certification, organizations demonstrate to customers, partners, and shareholders that they have proactively implemented measures to safeguard data in the event of a cybersecurity breach. Organizations must establish a documented process for assessing risks and vulnerabilities; develop plans for mitigating those risks; implement controls to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, alteration, or destruction of data; monitor and report incidents; and more.
