Silvaco, Inc., a leading global provider of software, IP, and services to semiconductor companies for the design of ICs, flat panel displays, and electronic systems, today announced the appointment of Howard Hideshima as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Hideshima was previously at Super Micro Computers, a global leader in enterprise computing, storage, and networking solutions, where he was Sr. VP and CFO, and led a successful IPO in 2007. Hideshima brings extensive experience in corporate finance, financial and strategic planning, and investor relation programs.
Hideshima has more than 30 years of experience, including senior management roles in the high technology industry at companies such as Force10 Networks (acquired by Dell), Virtual Silicon Technology (acquired by MOSAID), Internet Corporation, and ESS Technology. He holds an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
In his new role, Hideshima will play a key role on the leadership team in strategic and corporate planning. In addition, he will oversee Silvaco’s global accounting, financial compliance, and all other aspects of the financial management of the company.
“Howard joins Silvaco in time to support our company’s growth to the next level. His extensive experience in building business models for software, semiconductor, and technology companies, alongside two successful IPOs, makes him well qualified to assume the role of CFO,” commented Babak Taheri, CEO at Silvaco. “We welcome him to the leadership team as we scale the company to drive significant revenue growth.”
