Watlow, a designer and manufacturer of complete thermal systems, announced that its facility in Winona, MN was selected by the Winona Chamber of Commerce as ‘Business of the Year.’ It was announced on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Chamber Network Nite event.
According to the Chamber, ‘Business of the Year’ is awarded to businesses that demonstrate excellence in the areas of economic development, environmental stewardship, community engagement, quality in the workplace and continued business success in ways such as: reinvestment in property, facilities, equipment; job creation, training programs and creative ways to attract and retain employees; demonstrated business success and growth; energy savings investments, recycling and waste reduction initiatives and supporting and enhancing the Winona community.
“This is a very exciting and important achievement for Watlow,” said Jeff Harrington, director of operations. “Here in the Winona facility we have been working hard to share our business with the community. We are taking action to become more involved in Chamber and other local activities, and we strive to become known as a top manufacturer in town. Watlow’s facility in Winona produces temperature and power controllers for applications in a variety of industries including semiconductor, energy and environmental technologies and chambers, furnaces and ovens, to name a few.
