Wise-integration today announced the launch of a subsidiary, Wise-integration Ltd., based in Hong Kong to help Chinese customers achieve their power- performance/cost  goals and accelerate its growing business in China.

In addition to serving as the company’s financial hub for regional transactions and boosting its presence generally in the Asian market, the subsidiary will enable the company to take advantage of business opportunities in China, a large and receptive market for its GaN-based power electronics solutions with digital control.

“Wise-integration Ltd. is our a gateway for tapping into the vast Chinese market,” said Thierry Bouchet, Wise-integration’s CEO, who made the announcement during the PCIM Asia Conference in Shenzhen, China. “As our recent announcements have shown, Asian companies are interested in partnering with Wise-integration to integrate our novel power-control technologies. With this Hong Kong-based subsidiary, we will focus on new opportunities in China, especially the premium consumer SMPS,  light industrial, motor-control, light e-transportation and e-automotive markets.”

Since its launch in 2020, the fabless company has established itself as an award-winning innovator in the power electronics industry, building a portfolio of more than 10 patent families with two product lines. WiseGan encompasses GaN power integrated circuits designed to maximize the benefits of GaN technology, including higher power density, efficiency and reduced heat generation. WiseWare® is a 32-bit, MCU-based, AC-DC digital controller optimized for GaN-based power supply architectures. It offers simplified system design, a lower bill of materials and improved power density and efficiency.

In the past two years, Wise-integration announced partnerships with companies in South Korea and Taiwan to help bring its technologies to those markets. The company’s product markets include consumer electronics and industrial applications like robotics, as well as data centers and electric vehicles. All of its solutions address the increasing demands for miniaturization, electrification and efficient power management.

Led by James Ho, as China business development director, Wise-integration Ltd. is based in HKSTP (the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park), a world-renowned center of innovation and technology with more than 2,000 companies.

Earlier this year, Wise-integration announced a Series B financing round of €15 million.

The company is attending PCIM Asia this week for the first time – Hall 11, booth C44.  The team will showcase its products:  WiseGan® GaN IC, WiseWare 32-bit, MCU-based digital controller and demoboards.
